Jeroen Elsen sees painting as moving things around. Organizing thought. There are two main elements he uses: random shapes and the human figure. As the arrangement of these elements change, so does the space they represent. This allows Jeroen to use the same motives over and over since their significance within the painting is not in what they represent but in the place they have in this painted surface.
